On the Swampland Knoll the ID face is rolled. This allows the Elves to choose Magic, Missile or Melee!
The elves take advantage of the terrain as missile territory and try to manoeuvre.
9 manoeuvres for elves, 23 manoeuvres for the Frostwings, thanks to doubling the ID rolls. 8 doubled plus 7 normal.
The bullseye targets the cavalry.
1 saves, the others fail to save.
The re-roll gives an ID.
Unlucky 13 results. Unlucky for Frostwings, that is.
The Frostwing army produce 11 saves and take only 2 damage.
These two guys.
The home army move to 5th face and attack campaign army. 7 missile results.
4 saves generated. They take 3 damage.
The graveyard starts to fill up very slowly.
All stay where they are posted.
The Frostwing campaign army stay where they are and cast magic. 6 points of it.
They cast a successful Lightning Strike on the Gryphon at their home terrain.
The deadlands offers a bit more protection.
They lose the manoeuvre too, 4 points to 8.
Having seen the defensive volley in action, they decide that a missile attack is to be avoided.
The home army withdraw to the reserves.
The deadlands is buried too.
